SYNOPSIS

Carleton Place is coming off of a 4-1 quarter finals series with the Rockland Nationals. The Canadians were able to overcome a 1-1 tie in the series in order to win out against a hungry Rockland Nationals team.

One of the players that the Canadians will look to continue their production is Tim Theocharidis. Theocharidis has proven to be a reliable threat both on defense and on offense. So far during this playoffs, Theocharidis has scored 3 goals and tallied 4 assists.

Hawkesbury is coming off of a 4-3 quarter finals series win over the Cornwall Colts. After taking overtime losses in Game 5 and 6, the Hawkesbury Hawks came roaring back with a dominant 9-0 victory in Game 7. They will hope to take that dominance in Game 7 and apply it to there series against the Canadians.

One of the players that the Hawks will hope to increase their production is David Jankowski. The regular season MVP hasn’t been needed too much for the Hawks as they have been able to find scoring power from other players including but not limited to Kari Belec, Chris Smith, Kieran Craig etc. However, if Jankowski can increase his offensive production.

VERDICT

For the Canadians, they will look to continue to give options on offense to their plethora of scorers ranging from offense to defense. One of the keys for Carleton Place will be to increase their production on special teams.

For the Hawks, they will have to play a full 60 minutes of hockey to compete with the Canadians. If the Cornwall series is any indication, they have to maintain leads and prevent this series from going to extra periods. Otherwise, this could be a tough series for the Hawks. If they can come out like they did in Game 7 and just set the tone straight from the start, they can certainly compete.
