Pembroke downs Nepean, 6-3

 

Justin Felhaber registered one point to lead the Pembroke Lumber Kings to a 6-3 victory over the Nepean Raiders.

 

Pembroke kept Nepean's goalie busy throughout the game, and Francis Marotte made 36 saves on 42 shots. The Lumber Kings outdid their season average for goals scored. This season, Pembroke averages 3.1 goals per contest.

Pembroke also got points from Derek Varrin, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Pembroke included Cale List, Kris Lalonde, Tyler ONeill, and Alex Gilmour, who each put in one. In addition, Pembroke received assists from Brett Horn, who had two and Wesley Ashley, Colton Keuhl, Johnny Kyte, Brandon Zullo, Nicolas Vlahos, Ben VanOoteghem, and Adam Beveridge, who each chipped in one.

The Lumber Kings were unable to stop the Raiders from sending pucks towards the net, and Nepean eventually piled up 37 shots on goal.

The Raiders were helped by Justin Hess, who finished with one goal. Hess scored 9:00 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Nepean also had goals scored by Justin Schebel and Mike Finger, who scored one goal each. More assists for Nepean came via Hunter Garlasco and Ugo Roik, who contributed one each.

Gabe Mollot-Hill recorded 34 saves for Pembroke. The Lumber Kings incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Nepean incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. For the Raiders, Peter Sigouin was ejected from the game.
