The Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) is pleased to announce the Next Recruit/CCM Player of the Week is Evan Debrouwer of the Smiths Falls Bears. DeBrouwer was outstanding in his two starts as the Bears went 1-1 this past week. The Smiths Falls goaltender stopped 76 of 80 shots for the 4-1 win over the Carleton Place Canadians and 3-2 loss to the Hawkesbury Hawks. The Bears net-minder who won the same honors in week 4 posted a 2.0 Goals Against and .950 Save Percentage while earning a 1stgame star. The Blenheim, ON native leads all goaltenders with 25 wins, 4th in Goals Against 2.52 and 2ndin Save Percentage .914 while keeping the Bears among the league’s top teams.
