Nepean rips Cumberland, 4-1

 

The Cumberland Grads had trouble finding ways to stop the Nepean Raiders, which beat Grads, 4-1.

 

Nepean was led by goalie Francis Marotte, who finished with 43 saves while allowing one goal. Marotte managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.97 prior to the game.

The Raiders were led by Rowan Savidant, who had one goal and one assist. Savidant scored 12:46 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Nepean. Josh Zizek assisted on the tally.

Nepean additionally got points from Hunter Garlasco, who also tallied one goal and two assists and Mike Finger, who also registered one goal and one assist. Kari Belec also scored for Nepean. Other players who recorded assists for Nepean were Blake Dalton, who had one.

Cumberland's offense operated below its season average. The Grads put an average of 4.1 pucks into the net per game. Cumberland's offense rang up 44 shots on Nepean's net.
