Nepean downs Gloucester, 5-0

 

Raphael Lecours tallied one point to lead the Nepean Raiders to a 5-0 victory over the Gloucester Rangers.

 

Nepean excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Raiders bested their season scoring average. Nepean averages 2.3 goals per game.

Others who scored for Nepean included PJ Heger, who had two and Blake Dalton and Noah Kalsner-Lowe, who each put in one. In addition, Nepean received assists from Justin Schebel, who had two and Hunter Garlasco, Corey Tam, Josh Zizek, Mike Finger, Justin Hess, Rory Garlasco, and Martin Lavallee, who contributed one each.

Gloucester struggled on the penalty kill, allowing the Raiders to score two power play goals on three chances.

Francis Marotte made 21 saves for Nepean on 21 shots. The Raiders incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Cedric Hansen recorded 22 saves for the Rangers. Gloucester incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
