Morning Recap | Ten Teams in Action in Packed Wednesday

 

OTTAWA, ON – A rare packed Wednesday in the CCHL had ten teams in action with victories coming from the Renfrew Wolves, Pembroke Lumber Kings, Hawkesbury Hawks, Rockland Nationals, and Nepean Raiders.

 

RENFREW 6 NAVAN 1

Jakob Kalin scored twice, Tyson Tomasini, Mason Goldie, Mathieu Parent, and Brendan Hill also scored, while Will Craig made 36-saves as Renfrew improved to 23-14-1-1 on the season. Navan, who dropped to 21-15-0-1, had their lone goal from Devyn Orpana, while Ben West finished with 36-saves in the loss.

 

PEMBROKE 5 KEMPTVILLE 2

Sawyer Prokopetz, Caden Eaton, Jesse Kirkby, Jack Stockfish, and Michael Andrews tallied markers, while Reece Proulx made 23-saves as Pembroke improved their season record to 24-12-2-2. Kemptville, who fell to 21-14-3-2, had goals from Nathan Merrett and Brock Krulicki, while Tyler Laureault finished with 17-saves in the loss.

 

HAWKESBURY 6 SMITHS FALLS 1

Jeremy Tremblay, Josh Spratt, Landon Brownlee Ryan Murphy, Jakson Kirk, and Max Klanow scored goals, while Matthew Tovell made 23-saves as Hawkesbury improved to 28-9-2-2 on the year. Smiths Falls, who fell to 14-23-2-0, had their lone goal from Thomas Gangl, while Will McEvoy made 28-saves on the losing end of things.

 

ROCKLAND 4 CARLETON PLACE 1

Patrick Lanthier tallied twice, Joshua Reid and Tucker Shields added singles, while Jack McGovern made 24-saves as Rockland improved their record on the year to 16-19-2-1. Carleton Place, who fell to 15-22-1-3, had their lone goal from Matteo Disipio, while Joe Chambers finished with 26-saves in the loss.

 

NEPEAN 4 OTTAWA 3 OT

Jack Hillier scored twice in regulation, Ryan Liverman added a single in regulation of his own, Owen Hollingsworth netted the overtime winner, while Nathan Loisel made 41-saves as Nepean snagged the upset victory to improve to 10-29-1-0 on the season. Ottawa, who fell to 32-4-2-1, had goals from Simon Isabelle, Philippe Jacques, and Thomas Freel, while Collin Mackenzie made 23-saves in the loss.
