Gongshow Gear 3 Stars of the Month Announced for February

 

OTTAWA, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to announce the Gongshow Gear Three Stars of the Month for February.

Thomas Cusson (Hawkesbury Hawks) earned 1st Star honours, Reece Proulx (Pembroke Lumber Kings) came out as the 2nd Star, and Philippe Jacques (Ottawa Junior Senators) earned the 3rd Star.

 

1ST STAR | Thomas Cusson | Hawkesbury Hawks

The 2001 Cowansville, QC native totaled 25-points (13G, 12A) in 11 games of action, being named a 1st star on four occasions, while also earning 2nd star honours once. Two of his 1st star performances were 4-point efforts as he helped the Hawks to a 10-1-0-0 record in February. 

 

2ND STAR | Reece Proulx | Pembroke Lumber Kings

The 2002 born North Bay, ON native posted a 3-4-0-1 record in February but still managed to be exceptional despite the losing record. He picked up 1st star honours on three occasions, 2nd star once, and 3rd star once. He had seven 30+ save efforts, including a 42-save 2-1 victory over Renfrew and 25-save shutout over Cornwall. On the year, Proulx has a record of 13-7-2-2 with a 2.32 GAA, .929 SV%, and 2 shutouts.

 

3RD STAR | Philippe Jacques

The 2002 born Quebec City, QC native totaled 20 points (8G, 12A) in 11 games of action, in which he was named 1st star on three occasions, while also earning a 2nd star honour once. He had five multiple-point efforts, including a 4 point (1G, 3A) game in Ottawa’s victory over Nepean and a 2-goal effort in the Junior Senators win against Carleton Place. On the year, Jacques sits second overall in the CCHL scoring race with 58 points (25G, 33A) in 37 games of action.
