Morning Recap | Lumber Kings, Hawks, and Jr Senators pick up wins Thursday

 

Ottawa, ON – Three games across the CCHL on Thursday night saw the Pembroke Lumber Kings, Hawkesbury Hawks, and Ottawa Jr Senators get in the win column.

 

F | PEMBROKE 3 CORNWALL 2

Brady Egan, Jacob Shankar, and Fletcher Anderson all found the net, while Darian McTavish made 34-saves as Pembroke improved their season record to 9-8-0-0. Scoring for Cornwall (3-11-0-1) was Kobe Tallman and Emerick Nadeau, while Rico Dimatteo finished with 30-saves in the loss.

 

F | HAWKESBURY 5 KANATA 4 SO

Luke Grainger had a 4-point night (2G, 2A) to take sole possession of the CCHL scoring race, Zachary Lefebvre also netted two goals, and Evan Johnston had the Shootout winner, while Mathieu Chenier made 27-saves as Hawkesbury improved to 10-6-0-0 on the year. Kanata fell to 9-4-0-1, received goals from Julian Recine, Jordan Morgan, Felix Tourigny, and Will Larsen, while Jean-Philippe Tourigny made 26-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | OTTAWA 4 NAVAN 2

Brent Broaders, Faisal Alsaif, Vincent Velocci, and Ethan Mulhearn tallied goals, while recently acquired goaltender Bryan Landsberger made 24-saves as Ottawa improved to 10-4-1-0. Zane Dalpe and Curtis Fabbro replied for the Grads, while Marco Latassa made 37-saves as Navan fell to 6-9-0-0.
