Morning Recap | Lumber Kings and Braves Thursday winners

 

OTTAWA, ON – There were two games of CCHL action Thursday night seeing the Pembroke Lumber Kings and Brockville Braves claim victories.

 

PEMBROKE 2 CORNWALL 1

Gavin Ewles and Joe Jordan tallied goals, while Nicholas Heinzle made 24-saves as Pembroke improved their record on the year to 27-16-2-2. Cornwall, who fell to 10-29-3-4, had their lone goal from Keanu Krenn, while Dax Easter finished with 35-saves on the losing end of things.

 

BROCKVILLE 6 NAVAN 4

Colin Elliott netted a hat-trick, Nicolas Lariviere, Lucas Culhane, and Caleb Kean added singles, while Brandon Abbott made 32-saves as Brockville improved to 32-13-0-2 on the season. Navan, who dropped to 22-20-1-1, had two goals from Cayden Faust, singles from Alec Lovisek and Owen Parsons, while Ben West made 19-saves in the losing effort.
