Morning Recap | Five Games Across CCHL Region Friday night

 

OTTAWA, ON – Ten CCHL teams in action Friday night saw victories from the Navan Grads, Brockville Braves, Smiths Falls Bears, Kemptville 73’s, and Hawkesbury Hawks.

 

NAVAN 8 CORNWALL 3

Joseph Ianniello and Danyk Drouin scored two goals apiece, Braeden McKinnon, Ryan Burke, Devyn Orpana, and Gabriel Crete added singles, while Carter Garvie made 18-saves as Navan improved to 23-20-1-1 on the season. Cornwall, who fell to 10-30-3-4, had goals from Tristan Miron, Aaron Shaw, and Keanu Krenn, while Dax Easter made 34-saves in the loss.

 

BROCKVILLE 7 NEPEAN 2

Justin Dauphinais, Lucas Culhane, Colin Elliott, Owen Belisle, Nicolas Lariviere, Ryan Bonfield, and Jack McDonald all found the back of the net, while Sami Molu made 29-saves as Brockville improved their season record to 33-13-0-2. Nepean, who dropped to 11-33-2-0, had goals from Owen Hollingsworth and Anthony Rivard, while Nathan Loisel made 50-saves in the losing effort.

 

SMITHS FALLS 6 PEMBROKE 3

Hunter Brown scored twice, Owen Watson, Jacob Lesser, Shamus Stevenson, and Thomas Gangl added singles, while Will McEvoy made 18-saves as Smiths Falls improved to 17-25-2-1 on the year. Pembroke, who fell to 27-17-2-2, had two goals from Jack Stockfish, a single from Jesse Kirkby, while Nicholas Heinzle made 25-saves in the loss.

 

KEMPTVILLE 4 CARLETON PLACE 1

Matthew O’Doherty, Jeff Taylor, Johnny Howie, and Grady Logue found the net, while Tyler Laureault picked up the win as Kemptville improved to 25-16-4-2 on the season. Carleton Place, who fell to 16-27-1-3, had their lone goal from Bill Gourgon, while Brady McEwan made 29-saves in the losing effort.

 

HAWKESBURY 7 ROCKLAND 3

Kerfalla Toure had a hat-trick, Nicolas Tan, Mark Cooper, Rylee Hlusiak, and Jakson Kirk added singles, while Matthew Tovell made 25-saves as Hawkesbury improved to 32-10-2-2 on the season. Rockland, who fell to 19-21-3-2, had goals from Yanic Crete, Giovanni Morneau, and William Pilon.
