Morning Recap | Five Games in busy Friday night across region

 

OTTAWA, ON – There were five games across the CCHL region Friday night, seeing victories from the Kemptville 73’s, Hawkesbury Hawks, Carleton Place Canadians, Rockland Nationals, and Navan Grads.

 

KEMPTVILLE 4 BROCKVILLE 2

Patrick Larkin, Johnny Howie, Brock Krulicki, and Devon Savignac tallied goals, while Tyler Laureault made 19-saves as Kemptville improved their season record to 17-8-2-2. Brockville, who fell to 19-9-0-2, had goals from Trent LeDrew and Ryan Bonfield, while Brandon Abbott made 21-saves in the loss.

 

 

CARLETON PLACE 11 SMITHS FALLS 6

Mark MacPhee tallied a hat-trick, Matteo Disipio, Derek Hamilton, and Ethan Woolsey added two-goals apiece, Evan Jamieson and Jackson Hay potted singles, while Joe Chambers made 20-saves as Carleton Place improved their record to 12-12-1-3. Smiths Falls, who’s record dropped to 9-17-1-0, had two-goals from Brody Fournier, singles from Will Rivet, Owen Watson, Sean James, and Alec Hamady, while Will McEvoy made 35-saves in the loss.

 

HAWKESBURY 7 CORNWALL 0

Rylee Hlusiak and Jeremy Quesnel scored two-goals apiece, Thomas Cusson, Josh Spratt, and Ryan Murphy also found the back of the net, while Dimitri Pelekos had a 23-save shutout as Hawkesbury improved their record on the season to 18-9-1-2. Cornwall’s record fell to 6-19-3-4.

 

ROCKLAND 5 RENFREW 4

Gabriel Filion scored twice, William Pilon, John Mulvihill, and Manny Cabral added singles, while Jack McGovern made 29-saves as Rockland improved to 10-16-2-1 on the season. Renfrew, who fell to 17-7-1-1, had two-goals from Charlie Johnson, and singles from Tyson Tomasini and Joey Kennelly, while Will Craig made 21-saves in the losing effort.

 

NAVAN 10 NEPEAN 2

Cayden Faust netted a hat-trick, Calum Chau and Devyn Orpana scored two-goal apiece, Gabriel Crete, Joseph Ianiello and Justin Louette-Isaac had singles, while Ben West made 26-saves as Navan improved to 16-10-0-1 on the season. Nepean, who fell to 6-22-1-0, had goals from Owen Hollingsworth and Coleman Bennett.
