Morning Recap | Five Games Across CCHL Friday

 

OTTAWA, ON – Five games across the CCHL region Friday night saw victories from the Brockville Braves, Hawkesbury Hawks, Smiths Falls Bears, Pembroke Lumber Kings, and Renfrew Wolves.

 

BROCKVILLE 6 CARLETON PLACE 2

Colin Stacey netted a hat-trick, Justin Dauphinais, Ryan Bonfield, and Owen Rainey added singles, while Sami Molu made 21-saves as Brockville improved to 35-16-0-2 on the season. Carleton Place, who fell to 18-31-2-3, had goals from Isaac Pascoal and Matteo Disipio, while Brady McEwan made 32-saves in the loss.

 

HAWKESBURY 8 NEPEAN 1

Thomas Cusson scored a hat-trick, Willyam Gendron, Jakson Kirk, Joshua Spratt, Mark Cooper, and Kerfalla Toure scored singles, while Matthew Tovell made 22-saves as Hawkesbury improved on the season to 36-12-3-2. Nepean, who fell to 12-39-2-0, had their lone score from Chase Campeau.

 

SMITHS FALLS 8 NAVAN 5

Brody Fournier scored 4 goals, Conor Ronayne had 3 goals, Jacob Lesser also scored, while Will McEvoy made 39-saves as Smiths Falls kept their playoff hopes alive, improving to 22-25-3-1. Navan, who fell to 26-23-1-2, had 4-goals from Alec Lovisek and a single from Owen Parsons.

 

PEMBROKE 4 ROCKLAND 1

Jacob Zwirecki, Joe Jordan, Jesse Kirkby, and Alex Urbisci found the back of the net, while Reece Proulx made 34-saves as Pembroke improved to 30-19-2-2 on the year. Rockland, who fell to 23-23-4-2, had their lone goal from Giovanni Morneau, while Jack McGovern made 23-saves in the loss.

 

RENFREW 3 KEMPTVILLE 2

Christopher Hocevar scored twice, John Enright scored a single, while Will Craig made 25-saves as Renfrew improved to 33-17-1-2 on the season. Kemptville, who dropped to a record of 28-18-5-3, had goals from Benjamin Campeau and Jeff Taylor, while Tyler Laureault made 26-saves in the losing effort.
