OTTAWA, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to announce that league Executive member Peter Peckett has been named the 2021-22 Sam Pollock Award recipient for his dedication and outstanding contributions to the CCHL. This is the second straight season, and seventh time Peter has been voted the recipient of this award.
Peter serves as the CCHL’s statistician and updates all league records. A former President, Peter brings his experience in that area as well as monitoring all electronic scoring and data to ensure accuracy and compliance with league policies.
“Peter continues to be a major player in our day-to-day operations,” said Director of Operations Sean Marcellus. We are incredibly lucky to have a Peter Peckett in our league as he is always stepping up to assist and provide input when requested. Many people don’t understand the amount of background work that goes into managing our statistics through out a general season but it’s a big task that Peter handles like a pro. We are very happy that our teams recognize this and continue to give Peter the credit he never asks for, but most certainly deserves.”
