Morning Playoff Recap | Canadians and Jr Senators pick up wins Wednesday night

 

Ottawa, ON – The Carleton Place Canadians moved ahead 2-1 in their series against Rockland, while the Ottawa Jr Senators took a commanding 3-0 lead on Brockville in Wednesday night Bogart Cup playoff action.

Keenan Reynolds, David Poirier, Reece Bolton, and Ben Tupker had goals, while Connor Murphy turned aside 30 shots as Carleton Place topped Rockland to move ahead 2-1 in their best-of-seven series.

Scoring the lone goal for the Nationals was Drew Shields, while Joseph Giacobbo made 16-saves before Cyrus Martin stopped 7 more in a relief appearance. 

Game 4 goes Friday night in Rockland at 8:30PM.

The Jr Senators received goals from Taylor Egan, David Toppa, Bailey Brant, Conor Smart, Owen Cole, and Adrien Bisson, while Francis Boisvert made 24-saves as Ottawa defeated Brockville and took a commanding 3-0 series lead.

The Braves had goals from Emerick Nadeau, Eric Faith, and Simon Kerr, while Liam Souliere made 29-saves in the losing effort.

Game 4 is this Friday night in Brockville at 7:30PM.
