Morning Playoff Recap | Jr Senators sweep Braves, Canadians take 3-1 lead on Nationals

 

Ottawa, ON – In Friday night Bogart Cup playoff action, the Ottawa Jr Senators completed their semi-final sweep of the Brockville Braves, while the Carleton Place Canadians took a 3-1 lead on Rockland.

Declan Hilton tallied twice, including the game-winner, Geoff Dempster added a single, while Francis Boisvert made 36-saves as Ottawa completed their sweep over the Brockville Braves to punch their ticket to their third straight Bogart Cup Final.

Sam Allison and John Michael DiGregorio scored for the Braves, while Liam Souliere made 21-saves in the loss.

The Jr Senators will now await the winner of the Carleton Place/Rockland series.

Ben Tupker scored twice, Peyton Francis, Zach Tupker, Ryland Mosley, Keenan Reynolds, and Cole Beckstead also found the back of the net, while Connor Murphy made 27-saves as the Canadians took a 3-1 lead on Rockland.

Scoring for the Nationals was Cameron Last, David Lafrance, Jack Sullivan, and Griffin McGregor, while Joseph Giacobbo made 21-saves in the losing effort.

Game 5 goes Sunday in Carleton Place at 3:00PM.
