Kemptville rides Tugnutt to victory over Kanata, 3-1

 

Jacob Tugnutt stood on his head and made 27 saves to lead the Kemptville 73s to a 3-1 victory over the Kanata Stallions.

 

Kemptville was paced by Cameron Russell, who racked up one goal and one assist. Russell scored on the power play 1:04 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Kemptville. Matt Tugnutt provided the assist.

The 73s' offense rang up 35 shots on Kanata's net.

Others who scored for Kemptville included Owen Guy and Dean Galasso, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Kemptville were Aaron Hickie, who had two and Kaelan OFlynn and Jake Gaudet, who contributed one each.

The Stallions were led by Antoine Paradis, who scored the team's only goal. Paradis scored 12:23 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Kanata. Tyler ONeill picked up the assist.

Kemptville incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Kanata's Brian Wilson stopped 32 shots out of the 34 that he faced. The Stallions incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
