Gloucester downs Pembroke in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

 

The Gloucester Rangers' Tyler Greenberg scored 16 seconds into overtime to beat the Pembroke Lumber Kings, 3-2 (OT).

 

Gloucester pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 14 penalty minutes.

The Rangers were paced by Greenberg, who tallied one goal and one assist.

Pembroke was unable to stop Gloucester from sending pucks towards the net, and the Rangers eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

Gloucester also got points from Michael Blacksmith, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Cameron Hughes, who also had one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Gloucester were Antonio Micucci, who had two.

The Lumber Kings were helped by Hudson Michaelis, who finished with one goal. Michaelis scored 9:03 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Pembroke. Stephan Beauvais assisted on the tally. Pembroke also got a goal from Brett du Puy as well. In addition, Pembroke received assists from Jesse Blais, who had one and Ryan Casselman, who had two.

Doug Johnston made 28 saves for Gloucester on 30 shots. The Rangers registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. Pembroke's Sean Green stopped 28 shots out of the 31 that he faced. The Lumber Kings incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
