The Central Canada Hockey League and Ottawa Jr Senators are pleased to announce that ’96 born goaltender Ian Andriano has committed to attend NCAA Division I RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology) for 2017-18.

The 6-1, 193 lb Barrie, ON native is now in his fourth season of action with the Jr Sens.  This season he is 16-6-1-1 with a .915 SV% and a league leading 2.31 GAA.  His career record sits at 77-33-8-4 in 132 combined regular season and playoff games.

“As an organization, we are extremely pleased for Ian”, said Jr Sens Head Coach Martin Dagenais.  “His dedication and hard work over the years has led to this wonderful news. We all know he has earned it and that he will be an excellent goaltender at the next level”, added Dagenais.

RIT, who plays in the NCAA Atlantic Hockey Conference is currently sitting second in their conference with a 6-5-0-0 record.  With their starting goaltender Mike Rotolo now in his Senior season, bringing Andriano into their goaltending fold will help strengthen the internal competition for next season and beyond.

“I’m really excited obviously as this is something I’ve been working towards for a long time so it’s exciting that it’s finally happened”, said Andriano.  “I think RIT is going to be a really good fit for me and I was really impressed with their coaching staff and campus so I am just really excited”.
