The Central Canada Hockey League and Brockville Braves are pleased to announce that ’96 born goaltender Henry Johnson has committed to attend NCAA Bemidji State University for 2017-18.

The 6-1, 170 lb Minneapolis, MN native is in his second full season with the Braves and has gone 13-10-0-1 with a 2.40 GAA and league leading .933 SV%.  Overall, Johnson is 43-24-1-2 with a CCHL record 10 career shutouts.  Last season he earned a spot on the CCHL First All-Star Team as well as being named the leagues Top Goaltender.

“He’s one of the best goalies I’ve ever coached, which has been vital on a team with 17 new players”, said Braves Head Coach Colin Birkas.  “Even with all the new faces in front of him he has somehow managed to get his numbers up from last season.  Personally, he’s engaged, he’s hard-working and fun to be around.  Bemidji has been on him the longest and is happy to have him, I think it’s a great fit”, added Birkas.
