HAWKS CHARLES LEVESQUE NAMED GONGSHOW ACADEMIC PLAYER OF THE MONTH

The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to award the November Gongshow Academic Player of the Month to Charles Levesque from the Hawkesbury Hawks with honorable mention going to Cole Busschaert of the Smiths Falls Bears.

 

Charles Levesque, the CCHL’s Academic Player of the Month once again for the month of November, is a forward in his second year with the Hawkesbury Hawks and has not slowed down one bit from October both in the classroom and on the ice. Charles marks on tests and assignments for the month of November once again average out to an A- overall while taking courses in the Biochemistry Program at the University of Ottawa.

 

On the ice in the month of November, Charles improved on his previous month’s stats by tallying 16 points (5 goals and 11 assists) in 12 games. This has helped him move up to a tie for first place in scoring for the CCHL and now leads Hawkesbury in team scoring so far this season with 44 points (16 goals and 28 assists). Charles will be aiming to build upon these totals to close out the 2016 calendar year with the hat trick in this category for the Month of December.

 

Honorable Mention for the November Academic Player of the Month goes to Cole Busschaert, a forward with the Smiths Falls Bears. Cole is attending Queen’s University in the Economics Program and has maintained an A- average since the start of the year and also scored a 1200 on his SAT in November. On the ice, Cole accumulated 4 goals and 10 assists in 9 games during the month of November. This has him in the top ten in league scoring for the CCHL with 17 goals and 22 assists for 39 points.
