Johnson stymies Kanata, Brockville wins 4-1

 

The Brockville Braves relied on the sparkling performance of Henry Johnson in net to grab a 4-1 win against the Kanata Lasers.

 

Brockville was led by Andrew Jarvis, who tallied one goal. Jarvis scored 4:41 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Brockville. Ryan Orgel picked up the assist.

The Braves' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Kanata power plays. Brockville forced Kanata goalie Alex Butler to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.

Brockville also got points from Liam Folkes, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Brockville also had goals scored by Jack Billings and Eric Faith, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Brockville were Tre Folkes, who had two and Thomas Dunleavy and Neil Robinson, who each chipped in one.

The Lasers stifled the Braves' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Kanata's offense rang up 32 shots on Brockville's net.

The Lasers were led by Quinn Pollock, who scored the team's only goal. Pollock scored 32 seconds into the third period to make the score 3-1 Brockville. Mike McArthur assisted on the tally.

Henry Johnson made 31 saves for the Braves on 32 shots. Brockville incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Butler recorded 33 saves for Kanata. The Lasers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
