Jankowski Named Week 16 CCM POTW

Ottawa, Ontario – The Central Canada Hockey League announced Monday that Hawkesbury Hawks captain, David Jankowski has been named the CCM Hockey Week 16 (Dec 18-24) Player of the Week.  

Jankowski, 20, leads the league in scoring (62pts) and is at the top of the CCHL with 28 goals, which is four goals higher than the second place, P.L Veillette. The Waterloo, Ontario native helped the Hawks to a 3-1 record in week 16 with wins over Navan (6-1), Cornwall (4-3) and Nepean (3-1) to finish off the 2017 campaign.

Over four games between December 18th – 24th Jankowski scored six goals for a total of 10 points. He now has the league’s longest active goal streak at four games (6G) and has recorded a point in 16 straight contests which is a new league high.

Our honorable mentions go out to J.D Pogue of the Conrwall Colts who scored three goals in two wins and Nepean Raiders goaltender, Liam Souliere who made 51 saves against Hawkesbury in their final game of 2017.
