Hawkesbury blows out Kemptville, 5-1

 

The Hawkesbury Hawks were firing on all cylinders against the Kemptville 73s, and when the final buzzer sounded Hawks emerged with a 5-1 win.

 

Hawkesbury was led by Vincent Crivello, who finished with one goal. Crivello scored 10:29 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Hawkesbury. Julien Denicourt provided the assist.

The Hawks excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Kemptville was unable to stop Hawkesbury from sending pucks towards the net, and the Hawks eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. Hawkesbury got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Hawkesbury also got points from Mike Finger, who also registered one goal and one assist. Damien Charette also scored for Hawkesbury. More assists for Hawkesbury came via Charles Levesque, who had two and Adriano Leone, Jonathan Cyr, Ryan Jackson, Bruno Cheff, and Reid Murphy, who contributed one each.

The 73s could not produce up to their normal offensive output. Kemptville puts an average of 3.2 pucks into the net per game.

Andrew Tucci recorded 23 saves for the Hawks. Hawkesbury incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Charlie Jensen made 29 saves for the 73s on 34 shots. Kemptville incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
