FORMER BRAVES DEFENSEMAN WILSON SIGNS EXTENSION WITH AHL MOOSE

 

Former Brockville Braves defenseman Tyson Wilson has come to terms on a one-year contract with the AHL's Manitoba Moose.

The Maitland, ON native spent three seasons as a member of the Braves where he posted 17 goals and 75 points in 137 games from 2008-2011.  Before suiting up for the Braves, the 6-1, 210 lb rearguard suited up for the South Grenville Rangers (now Prescott Flyers CCHL2) as a 16-year old.   

He would end up earning a scholarship during his time with the Braves and go on to spend 5 years at Robert Morris University after he was redshirted as a sophomore due to a hip injury.  While with the Colonials, Wilson would total 11 goals anf 79 points in 145 games and where the "C" in his 5th and final year.   

Following his Senior season, he signed an Amateur Tryout with the Moose.  He would suit up in 3 games but fail to register a point.  Now locked up under contract for another season, the now 25 year-old is just getting his feet wet in the pro game.
