Commitment Alert | Canadians Steven Townley commits to NCAA Dartmouth College

Ottawa, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Carleton Place Canadians are pleased to announce that forward Steven Townley has committed to NCAA Division 1 Dartmouth College for 2021-22.

The 2000 born Woodstock, VT native is in his first season with the Canadians, where he has totaled 11 points (6G, 5A) in 21 games of action to date. Prior to his time in the CCHL, Townley spent last season playing for CP Dynamo of the USPHL U18.

“I grew up 20 minutes from Dartmouth, and it has always been a lifelong goal of mine to play there,” said Townley. “I am absolutely thrilled for Dartmouth’s interest in me, but I understand that I have a lot of work to do the next two years in Carleton Place. Since being here, I have already noticed significant improvements in all aspects of my game. Every game in the CCHL is a battle, which will help me become a very consistent player. This is a great spot for me to develop for the next two seasons.”

Townley is the sixth active player from Carleton Place to make a Division 1 commitment, joining Ryland Mosley (Alabama-Huntsville), Ayo Adeniye (Alabama-Huntsville), Elliott McDermott (Colgate), Ben Brunette (UMass Lowell), and Devon Levi (Vermont).
