Morning Recap | Raiders pick up huge Shootout victory over Lasers

Ottawa, ON – In the lone Wednesday night CCHL match-up, the Nepean Raiders won a hard-fought Shootout victory over the Kanata Lasers.

Trailing by two goals in the third period, Beau Binnie and Patrick Larkin found the net for the Raiders to force an extra frame. After a scoreless Overtime period, Larkin would go on to score the Shootout winner as the Raiders rode a phenomenal 48-save effort from goaltender Tyler Laureault to improve to 3-16-1-1 on the season.  Kanata, who fell to 12-6-0-2, had goals from Paul Larabie and Trevor Poeze, while Jean-Philippe Tourigny finished with 20-saves in the losing effort.
