Ottawa, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to announce that Smiths Falls Bears goaltender Jake Smith is the Week 8 CCM Hockey Player of the Week.
The 1999 born Petawawa, ON native posted a 2-1-0 record with a 2.00 GAA, .947 SV%, while making 97 saves on the 103 shots he faced. Smith stopped 32/34 in the Bears 4-2 victory over Kemptville to begin his week, he followed that up with a 35-save 1st Star effort in Smiths Falls 3-1 win over Rockland, before stopping 30/33 in a tough loss to Brockville to end the week.
On the season, Smith has a 4-7-0 record, while sporting a 3.26 GAA and .904 SV%.
