Commitment Alert | Canadians Brett Thorne commits to NCAA Michigan Tech

 

Ottawa, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Carleton Place Canadians are pleased to announce that defenseman Brett Thorne has committed to NCAA Michigan Tech for the 2020-21 season.

The 1999 born Bedford, NS native is in his third full season with the Canadians where he has totaled 73 points (26G, 47A) in 61 games of action. He is tops in the entire CCHL among blue-liners in Goals, Assists, Points, Power Play Goals, Power Play Points, Shorthanded Goals, Shorthanded Points, and Game-Winning Goals. 

In 194 combined regular season and playoff games, Thorne has totaled 172 points (49G, 123A).

He joins teammates Ryland Mosley (Alabama Huntsville 2020), Elliott McDermott (Colgate 2020), Devon Levi (Northeastern 2020), and Steven Townley (Dartmouth 2021) as Carleton Place players with active NCAA scholarships.
