Commitment Alert | Bears Mitchell Larabie set to join Royal Military College

Ottawa, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Smiths Falls Bears are pleased to announce that forward Mitchell Larabie has committed to U Sports Royal Military College for the 2019-20 season.

The 2000 born Kingston, ON native totaled 44 points (22G, 22A) in 62 games this past season with the Bears. He went on to add 2 assists in 5 playoff games. In 127 career games, Larabie tallied 37 goals and totaled 78 points.

“I am very excited to be joining the RMC Paladins next season,” said Larabie. “Moving onto the next level of hockey is going to be tough but playing two great years with the Smiths Falls Bears has shaped me into a better player and has developed and gotten me ready to start at the U Sports level, both physically and mentally. Playing for my hometown school is such an honour and I’m glad I was given the opportunity to attend an amazing college and a great organization. I’m also excited to join and serve my country in the Canadian Armed Forces.”

Prior to his time in the CCHL with the Bears, Larabie spent one season with the Westport Rideaus of the CCHL2 after graduating from the Greater Kingston Frontenacs Midget AAA program.
