Ottawa, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Smiths Falls Bears are pleased to announce that defenseman Scott Gervais has committed to U Sports Laurentian University for the 2019-20 season.
The 1998 born Ashton, ON native recently completed his final season of junior hockey, finishing with 17 points (3G, 14A) in 61 combined regular season and playoff games. In 195 career games, the defensive defenseman amassed 39 points (11G, 22A).
“The CCHL and Smith’s Falls Bears gave me an opportunity to succeed and aid in the progression of my hockey abilities and growth as a person,” said Gervais. “I am extremely excited for the opportunity to be a student/athlete at Laurentian this fall.”
Prior to his time in the CCHL, Gervais spent one season in HEO Midget AAA with the Carleton Place Canadians after coming up through the Ottawa Valley Titans AAA and Ottawa Valley Silver Seven AA programs.
