The Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) is pleased to announce the Next Recruit/CCM Player of the Week is Colton Point of the Carleton Place Canadians. Point was close to perfect in his two starts giving up one goal in an overtime win over the Ottawa Jr. Senators and posted a 2-0 shut-out against the Cumberland Grads. The Carleton Place goaltender was outstanding stopping 63 of 64 shots while earning a 1st and 2nd game star for his efforts. The 1.0 Goal Against and .984 Save Percentage helped keep the Canadians tied for 1st overall in league standings. The North Bay, ON native boasts an 18-5-0 record, leads all goalies with a 2.26 Goals Against and sits 6th overall with an impressive .910 Save Percentage. The Colgate commit has had an outstanding year being selected to Canada East for the World Junior A Challenge, as well is on the NHL Central Scouting list for the upcoming 2016 draft.
