Centennial Cup | Junior Senators drop opening game to Dauphin Kings

 

ESTEVAN, SK – The Ottawa Junior Senators had a strong start but were not able to find consistency in their opening game of the 2022 Centennial Cup as they fell to the Dauphin Kings from the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.

Philippe Jacques opened the scoring for the Junior Senators but two goals from Dauphin courtesy of Luke Morris and Nakodan Greyeyes would lift Dauphin to the one-goal victory. William Desmarais finished with 22-saves in nets for Ottawa, while Carson Cherepak was the difference maker in nets for Dauphin as he made several game-saving saves early and often.

Ottawa is next in action Saturday at 6:00PM ET when the face the Flin Flon Bombers from the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.
