CCHL Recap | Wolves, Raiders, Canadians and Hawks Win Sunday Games

Ottawa, ON – Four thrilling games were in session Sunday afternoon and evening in the Central Canada Hockey League. Renfrew traveled to Kemptville to secure a 6-5 win, Ottawa went to Nepean which ended in Nepean taking it in overtime 3-2. Carleton Place traveled to Navan to win 5-1 and Hawkesbury went to Pembroke to win 4-3.

Jace Letourneau and Dane Carter netted in the 1st, countered by Kemptville’s Matthew Montoni. Renfrew dominated the 2nd with goals from Max Gorzelnik and two more from Letourneau. Kemptville fought back in the 3rd with Grady Logue’s two goals, along with contributions from Nicholas Bennett and Sydney Loreto. However, Letourneau’s late goal secured Renfrew’s triumph. Goaltender Nolan Lane stood tall with 33 saves for Renfrew, while Kemptville’s Jacob Biron and Maxwell Ilecki combined for 22 saves.

F | Ottawa 2 Nepean 3 (OT)

Michael Gallery and Lucas Leblanc scored for Ottawa, countered by Nepean’s Peter Freel and Owen Hardy. Mario Scalise’s overtime goal sealed the win. Goaltender Connor Shibley made 40 saves for Ottawa, and Brady McEwan made 30 saves for Nepean.

F | Carleton Place 5 Navan 1

With goals from Will Soloway, Lleyton McLean, Masen Culley, William Bouwer, and Bill Gourgon. Shawn Kingwell netted Navan’s lone goal. Goaltender Ian Vandenberg made 38 saves for Carleton Place, and Jaeden Nelson made 31 saves for Navan.

F | Hawkesbury 4 Pembroke 3

Vital Dinis and two goals from Ryan Parent and Cole Foley put Pembroke ahead, but Hawkesbury stormed back with goals from Alex Fournier and Remi Gelinas. Goaltender Dimitri Pelekos made 30 saves for Hawkesbury, while Kevin Jones made 17 saves for Pembroke.
