Ottawa, ON – Smiths Falls Bears traveled to visit the Rockland Nationals for a Saturday evening game. At the end of 60-minutes, the Nationals took the win 5-6.

In a nail-biting match, Rockland edged past Smiths Falls with a 6-5 victory. The 1st period saw Rockland’s Mathieu Paquin, Jacob Charron, Samuel Dumont, and Kai Stothers scoring, countered by Smiths Falls’ Finnegan Kilmurray, Tyson Parker, and Alec Hamady. Anthony Hall added one for Rockland. In the 2nd period, Smiths Falls responded with goals from Tyson Parker and Alec Hamady. The tension escalated in the 3rd period as Tyson Parker and Alec Hamady scored again for Smiths Falls, but Trystan-Felix Tremblay secured the win for Rockland. Goaltenders played a crucial role, with Smiths Falls’ Evan Malloy making 13 saves before being replaced by Dawson Labre with 21 saves, while Rockland’s Benoit Forget made 22 saves to secure the narrow victory.
