CCHL Recap | Wolves and Nationals Win Saturday Evening

Ottawa, ON – The Renfrew Wolves hosted the Kemptville 73’s, after 60-minutes the Wolves won 7-3. The Rockland Nationals traveled to visit the Ottawa Junior Senators, the Nationals took the game 4-3 after 60-minutes.

Renfrew’s Dane Carter and Jack Dolan set the tone in the 1st period, followed by Joshua Penney and Kai Billey extending the lead in the 2nd. Kemptville fought back in the 2nd with goals from Emile Trottier and Tanner Fennell. However, Renfrew’s offense continued to shine in the 3rd, with goals from Aaron Enright, Jace Letourneau, and Noah VomScheidt. Kemptville managed a consolation goal by Matthew O’Doherty in the 3rd. Goaltender Dax Easter started for Kemptville, making 19 saves before being replaced by Jacob Biron, who added 8 saves. Renfrew’s Nolan Lane stood strong with 23 saves

F | Rockland 4 Ottawa 3

The 1st period saw Lucas Leblanc and Michael Gallary scoring for Ottawa, countered by Jaden Davis for Rockland. In the 2nd, Jordan Graham put Ottawa in the lead, but Rockland responded strongly with goals from Kyle Leonard and Xavier Laurent. The intensity continued into the 3rd period, where Kyle Leonard netted another crucial goal for Rockland. Goaltender Benoit Forget of Rockland made 20 saves, ensuring his team’s defensive stability. Ottawa’s Will Mizenko put up a solid effort with 19 saves.
