CCHL Recap | Wolves and Junior Senators Win Saturday Night

Ottawa, ON – Two games took place Saturday night in the Central Canada Hockey League. The Renfrew Wolves hosted the Rockland Nationals, where the Wolves won 3-2. The Ottawa Junior Senators hosted the Brockville Braves, after 60-minutes the Junior Senators won 11-4.

Trystan-Felix Tremblay struck first for Rockland in the 1st period, swiftly answered by Jace Letourneau for Renfrew. The 2nd period saw no further scoring. In the crucial 3rd period, Renfrew’s Noah Vom Scheidt and Kai Billey notched goals, while Kellen Dostaler kept Rockland in contention. Rockland goaltender Sebastian Resar made 31 saves, Renfrew’s Viacheslav Gordeichuk made 28 saves.

Ottawa set the tone early with goals from William-Francisco Parent, Ben Albright, and Brandon Paluszak in the 1st period. Liam Reid and Ethan Seibert managed to respond for Brockville in the 2nd period, but Ottawa continued their onslaught with goals from Parent, Liam Lucas, Jordan Graham, Matthew Verspeeten, Albright, and Conrad Moline. Despite efforts from Brockville’s Seibert and Keyshawn Thompson in the 3rd period, Ottawa maintained their offensive pressure, adding goals from Moline and Lucas Staresinic. Brockville’s goaltenders Edouard Piche made 24 saves and Zane Spaniol made 16 saves. Ottawa’s Will Mizenko stood strong with 24 saves.
