CCHL Recap | Navan, Hawkesbury, Kemptville and Rockland Friday Night Wins

Ottawa, ON – This Friday evening in the Central Canada Hockey League there were four high intensity games. With one game going to a shootout to decide the winner; Navan, Hawkesbury, Kemptville and Rockland came out winning.

F | Navan 6 Brockville 3

Navan dominated Brockville with goals by Markham, Savignac, and Kingwell in the 1st period, answering Carolan’s lone goal. Watson scored for Brockville in the 2nd, but Johnson extended Navan’s lead. In the 3rd, Cardiff scored for Brockville, but it wasn’t enough as Kingwell and Roy sealed the victory for Navan. Goaltender Jaeden Nelson made 23 crucial saves for Navan, while Dax Easter had 27 saves for Brockville.

F | Smiths Falls 1 Hawkesbury 2 (SO)

A tight game, with no goals in the 1st, saw Stevenson scoring for Smiths Falls in the 2nd and Fournier equalizing for Hawkesbury in the 3rd. Overtime remained goalless, leading to a shootout. Aidan Stubbings secured the win for Hawkesbury. Goaltender Dawson Labre made 28 saves for Smiths Falls, while Caleb Cabot’s remarkable 44 saves gave Hawkesbury the edge.

F | Cornwall 3 Kemptville 6

Kemptville emerged victorious as Tallman netted two in the 1st period, but Kemptville responded with goals from Montoni and Haughian. Kemptville took control with Melvin scoring in the 2nd, and Logue and Bennett each added two in the 3rd. Goaltender Donald Hickey made 33 saves for Cornwall, but Maxwell Ilecki’s 23 saves secured Kemptville’s win.

F | Nepean 2 Rockland 5

Rockland dominated with Laurent and Dumont each scoring in the 1st. Fillion added another in the 2nd. Sturgeon and Houben scored for Nepean, but Tremblay sealed the deal for Rockland in the 3rd. Goaltender John Gedraitis made 29 saves for Nepean, while Benoit Forget held strong with 18 saves for Rockland.
