Ottawa, ON – The Pembroke Lumber Kings met the Cornwall Colts in Cornwall for a Thursday night matchup. The Kings won in a shootout to take home 2-points in a 2-1 win.

The first period saw goals from Adam Walker for Cornwall and Ryan McNally for Pembroke, setting the stage for a defensive battle. Despite numerous opportunities in the second and third periods, both teams held strong defensively, forcing the game into overtime. With no scoring in the extra frame, the outcome was decided in a shootout. Pembroke’s Ryan Parent emerged as the hero, securing the win with a decisive goal. Goaltenders Kevin Jones of Pembroke and Donald Hickey of Cornwall showcased stellar performances, with Jones making an impressive 41 saves and Hickey stopping 30 shots.
