CCHL Recap | Nationals and Colts Win Wednesday Evening

Ottawa, ON – Wednesday night matchups in the Central Canada Hockey League consisted of two action packed games. The Rockland Nationals traveled to the Kemptville 73’s to win 3-1. The Cornwall Colts went to see the Nepean Raiders for a overtime win of 2-1.

The first period saw no scoring, but in the second, Nicholas Bennett netted one for Kemptville, swiftly answered by Samuel Dumont for Rockland. The decisive third period saw Rockland’s Kai Stothers and Jaden Davis securing the win. Goaltender Patrick Charette’s outstanding performance with 34 saves solidified Rockland’s defensive stand, while Kemptville’s Jacob Biron made 27 saves.

F | Cornwall 2 Nepean 1 (OT)

Brayden Bowen opened the scoring for Cornwall in the first, answered by Nick Sinani for Nepean in the second. With no goals in the third, the game went into overtime, where Kobe Tallman sealed the deal for Cornwall. Goaltender Donald Hickey’s 27 saves and Nepean’s Brady McEwan’s impressive 44 saves.
