CCHL Recap | Kings, Bears, Grads and Wolves Take Friday Night Wins

Ottawa, ON – Friday night in the Central Canada Hockey League consisted of four thrilling games. The Pembroke Lumber Kings went to see the Brockville Braves and took a 4-2 win. The Smiths Falls Bears hosted the Kemptville 73’s and won 5-2 on home ice. The Navan Grads travelled to visit the Hawkesbury Hawks and Grads won 7-3. The Renfrew Wolves visited the Rockland Nationals, ending in a Wolves win of 3-2. 

F | Pembroke 4 Brockville 2

The 1st period saw goals from Pembroke’s Eric Barnard, Ryan Parent, and Andrew Schmidt. In the 2nd, Ryan Parent added another for Pembroke, countered by Ben Sutton of Brockville. The 3rd period saw Lucas Culhane score for Brockville, but Pembroke held on. Goaltender Kevin Jones stood strong with 33 saves for Pembroke, while Brockville’s Dustin Riff making 6-saves, being replaced by Zane Spaniol making 22-saves

F | Kemptville 2 Smiths Falls 5

Grady Logue and Avry Shaw scored for Kemptville, but Smiths Falls dominated with goals from Travis Ouellette, Shaymus Stevenson, and Matthew Dimaline. Kemptville’s Jacob Biron made 32 saves, while Smiths Falls’ Dawson Labre stopped 13 shots.

F | Navan 7 Hawkesbury 3

The 1st period featured Noah Carpenter (twice) and Devon Savignac scoring for Navan. Hawkesbury’s Remi Gelinas responded with two in the 2nd, but Navan’s Sebbie Johnson and Colin Holmes added goals. The 3rd period saw Shaan Kingwell and Devon Savignac secure the win. Goaltender Hadyn Gould made 24 saves for Navan, while Caleb Chabot made 25 saves for Hawkesbury.

F | Renfrew 3 Rockland 2

Trystan-Felix Tremblay and Kai Stothers scored for Rockland in the 1st, but Renfrew rallied with goals from Jace Letourneau, Andrew Morton, and Hunter McKnight in the 2nd. Goaltender Viacheslav Gordeichuk made 24 saves for Renfrew, while Rockland’s Benoit Forget made 25 saves.
