CCHL Recap | Wolves and Junior Senators Win Saturday Evening

Ottawa, ON – Two high scoring games took place Saturday evening in the Central Canada Hockey League. The Renfrew Wolves hosted the Rockland Nationals, which ended in the Wolves winning 7-2. The Ottawa Junior Senators had a visit from the Nepean Raiders, Ottawa took the win 5-2.

Jace Letourneau and Trystan-Felix Tremblay traded goals. Renfrew’s Wyatt Hickok and Andrew Morton scored in the 2nd, while Rockland’s Jacob Charron responded. The 3rd period saw Renfrew’s Joshua Penney, Henry Wilson, Dane Carter, and Emmitt Robillard extending the lead, with Rockland’s lone goal from Jacob Charron. Rockland’s goaltender Benoit Forget made 19 saves, while Renfrew’s Viacheslav Gordeichuk stopped 18 shots.

F | Nepean 2 Ottawa 5

In the 1st, Anthony Menard, Ben Albright, Lucas Leblanc, and Liam Lucas scored for Ottawa, countered by Nick Huber and Owen Hardy for Nepean in the 2nd. Ben Albright added another for Ottawa. The 3rd period remained scoreless. Nepean’s John Gedraitis made 7 saves, later replaced by Brady McEwan with 12 saves. Ottawa’s Mael Gendron made 24 saves.
