CCHL Recap | Bears Take Thursday Night Win

Ottawa, ON – On Thursday night, the Smiths Falls Bears went to visit the Cornwall Colts. After 60-minutes, the Bears took a 4-1 win to travel back home.

The 1st period opened with Cornwall’s Brayden Bowen notching an early goal. However, Smiths Falls responded fiercely in the 2nd period, as Trevor Faucher and Matthew Dimaline found the net, establishing a lead they wouldn’t relinquish. The 3rd period further solidified Smiths Falls’ dominance, with goals from Kyle James and Shaymus Stevenson. Goaltender Dawson Labre stood tall for Smiths Falls, making an impressive 32 saves, thwarting numerous scoring attempts. Cornwall’s netminder, Donald Hickey, displayed resilience with 25 saves.
