CCHL Recap | Grads and Junior Senators Win Wednesday Evening

Ottawa, ON – Two evening games happened on Wednesday evening in the Central Canada Hockey League. The Navan Grads traveled to see the Kemptville 73’s, and the Grads took home a 4-3 win. The Ottawa Junior Senators hosted the Renfrew Wolves, and won 4-2 on home ice.

In a thrilling match, Navan secured a narrow 4-3 victory against Kemptville. The 1st period saw Shaan Kingwell score for Navan, countered by Grady Logue and Matthew Montoni for Kemptville. Gabriel Crete netted one for Navan in the 2nd period. The 3rd period intensified with Matthew Roy and Sam Glover extending Navan’s lead, while Matt Thomas scored for Kemptville. Goaltender Jaeden Nelson of Navan showcased brilliance with 30 saves, while Kemptville’s Maxwell Ilecki made 27 saves.

Jace Letourneau and Ben Albright kicked off the scoring in the 1st period. Brandon Paluszak netted twice in the 2nd period, answered by Letourneau for Renfrew. Mathis Bedard sealed the win for Ottawa in the 3rd period. Viacheslav Gordeichuk started strong in goal for Renfrew with 18 saves, later replaced by Nolan Lane with 13 saves. Ottawa’s Noah Paddock made 23 saves to secure the victory.
