CCM Performers of the Month Announced for December

 

Ottawa, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to announce the CCM Hockey Performers of the Month for December.

Rockland Nationals forward Matthew Vermaeten earned Player of the Month honours. Hawkesbury Hawks Matthew Petizian is the Goaltender of the Month, while Ottawa Jr Senators Joshua Ward is the Rookie of the Month. 

Player of the Month | Matthew Vermaeten 

The 2001 born Ottawa, ON native totaled 10 points (6G, 4A) in 8 games of action as he helped Rockland to a 6-2-0-0 record. He stringed together 4 multi-point efforts and 2 multi-goal performances. He sits second in team scoring with 27 points (10G, 17A) in 36 games. 

Goaltender of the Month | Matthew Petizian

The 1998 born Mississauga, ON native posted a 6-1-0 record with a 1.29 GAA and .946 SV% in December as he helped put the Hawks atop the Yzerman Division. He allowed 1 goal or less in 5 of his 6 starts, including a 22-save shutout Vs Nepean.

Rookie of the Month | Joshua Ward 

The 2001 born Orleans, ON native posted a 3-1-0 record with a 2.10 GAA and .939 SV% in 4 starts in December. His most notable game was a 41-save victory over Kanata. In 14 games this season, Ward is 8-3-0 with a .906 SV%, 2.63 GAA and 1 Shutout.
