Ottawa, ON – The 2019 portion of the CCHL season got underway Thursday night, seeing the Hawkesbury Hawks and Kanata Lasers get in the win column.

Yanic Crete, Michael Marleau, Patrick Callahan, and Jaxon Camp tallied goals, reigning Player of the Week and Goaltender of the Month Matthew Petizian stood tall making 14-saves as Hawkesbury improved to 28-9-1-1.

Connor Sleeth had a hat trick, Luca Nocita, Austin Holmes, and Felix Touring also found the net, while Gabriel Carriere made 23-saves for his first shutout of the season as Kanata improved to 19-18-2-2.
