Commitment Alert | Jr Senators Owen Cole commits to NCAA UMass Lowell

Ottawa, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Ottawa Jr Senators are pleased to announce that forward Owen Cole has committed to NCAA Division 1 UMass Lowell.

“The opportunity for me to play D1 hockey, especially in the Hockey East Conference for UMass-Lowell is so exciting for myself and my family,” said Cole. “It’s been a goal of mine for a long time and now that I have been able to commit and know where I will be for 4 years is very exciting.”

“My experience in Ottawa this year has been incredible. I think a large part of the success that I have had and the team has had goes back to the hard work of the coaching staff as they always seem to go the extra mile to make sure we are prepared. I was able to gain confidence quickly thanks to the opportunity provided to me and the support of the coaches. I love playing for OJS and I am excited to go to the rink every day.”

The 2000 born Dunnville, ON native leads the Jr Senators and sits second overall in CCHL scoring with 43 points (16G, 27A) in 33 games of action this season.

Prior to his time in the CCHL, Cole spent two seasons at Ridley College.
