Nepean outlasts Brockville, 5-3

 

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Nepean Raiders escaped with a 5-3 victory over the Brockville Braves.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by William White at 6:53 of the third period.

 

White had a great game for Nepean, netting two goals.

The Raiders excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

Nepean also got points from Benoit Villeneuve, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Mac MacSorley, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Corey Tam also scored for Nepean. More assists for Nepean came via Felix Page, Devin Fullum, Luke McCaw, Rory Garlasco, and Brandon Belding, who contributed one each.

Brockville stifled Nepean's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

The Braves were helped by Dylan McCrory, who grabbed one goal. McCrory scored 5:06 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Brockville. Liam Folkes picked up the assist. Brockville additionally got points from Neil Robinson, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Brockville also got a goal from Sean King as well. Other players who recorded assists for Brockville were Jack Billings, who had two.

The Raiders' Francis Marotte stopped 25 shots out of the 28 that he faced. Nepean incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Bo Taylor made 19 saves for Brockville on 23 shots. The Braves incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
