Huge game by Eckenrod boosts Gloucester over Kanata, 4-3

 

The Gloucester Rangers' Connor Eckenrod had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 4-3 win over the Kanata Stallions.

Eckenrod scored on the power play at 8:45 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and again while 15:36 into the second to make the score 4-3 Gloucester.

 

Gloucester's offense rang up 38 shots on Kanata's net.

Gloucester additionally got points from Matt Adams, who also had one goal and one assist. Gloucester also got a goal from Dorian Dawson as well. Other players who recorded assists for Gloucester were Jaren Burke, Liam Biard, and Zachary Borsoi, who contributed one each.

The Stallions were helped by Carter Malette, who tallied one goal. Malette scored on the power play 4:05 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Kanata. A slashing penalty on Matt Foget had put Kanata on the power play. Others who scored for Kanata included Jean-Philippe Langlois and Tyler ONeill, who scored one goal each. More assists for Kanata came via Ian Johnston, who had one and Hugo Petit, who had two.

David Richer rejected 22 shots on goal for the Rangers. Gloucester incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Brian Wilson made 34 saves for the Stallions on 38 shots. Kanata incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
