Week 22 – Power Rankings

  1. Carleton Place Canadians (44-4-4) (CJHL #1) | LW: 1 (–) | Results: 4-0W vs. PEM, 4-0W vs. CRW | Dominant victories over the Lumber Kings and the Colts help to lead the Canadians to 90 total points in the season. They remain on top of the CCHL Power Rankings.

 

  1. Ottawa Jr. Senators (40-7-4) (CJHL #6) | LW: 2 (–) | Results: 7-6SOL at. HAW, 7-0W at NEP | High scoring efforts from the Jr. Sens gives them at least 1 point in each of their games. A dominant victory over the Raiders with a 7-0 win cements them on top of the Yzerman division.

 

  1. Hawkesbury Hawks (31-16-1) | LW: 3 (-) | Results: 4-3W vs. KAN, 7-6W vs. OTT, 4-1W at NAV| The hottest team in the CCHL right now continuing to extend their winning streak to 6 games. Victories over the Lasers, Jr. Sens, and the Grads help keep them at number 3 in the power rankings.

 

  1. Kanata Lasers (25-19-9) | LW: 5 (+1) | Results: 4-3L at HAW, 4-3W at CRW, 5-0L at BRO, 2-1OTL at PEM | Back and forth week for the Kanata Lasers. With the exception of a 5-0 loss to Brockville, The Lasers kept games within 1 goal including an overtime loss that helps them move up a spot in the power rankings.

 

  1. Cornwall Colts (26-19-6) | LW: 6 (+1) | Results: 4-3W at NEP, 4-3L vs. KEM, 4-0L at CPC | After a win against the Raiders, the Colts took losses against the 73’s and the Canadians. The Canadians left the Colts scoreless in their game. The Colts move up 1 spot this week and if they continue to produce offensively, they can continue to move up.

 

  1. Brockville Braves (27-16-3) | LW: 4 (-2) | Results: 5-0W vs. KAN, 4-1W at ROC | Dominant wins over the Kanata Lasers and the Rockland Nationals 4-1. The reason they move down 2 spots is the key wins from Lasers and Colts to move up a couple of points.  The Braves are still very much in contention to go after the 3rd place spot.

 

  1. Pembroke Lumber Kings(24-22-2) | LW: 8 (+1) Results | 4-0L at CPC, 2-1OTW vs. KAN | 2 losses but one of their losses was in overtime which gives them a point to edge out the Rockland Nationals in the Power Rankings. The Lumber Kings have a solid team and could put up a fight against some of the best teams in the league. A team to look for.

 

  1. Rockland Nationals (23-23-4) | LW: 7 (-1) | Results: 4-3OTL at SFB, 4-1L at CPC | A overtime loss against the Bears and a tough loss against the Carleton Place Canadians. They move back in the standings but can just easily get themselves back into the 7th spot with a win this week.

 

  1. Smiths Falls Bears(20-26-5) | LW: 9 (-) | Results: 4-3W vs ROC | A lighter week for the Bears results in an overtime win against the Rockland Nationals. The Bears are able to extend their win streak to 3 games.

 

  1. Nepean Raiders(16-29-6) | LW: 10 (-) | Results: 4-3L at CRW, 2-1L at KEM, 7-0L vs. OTT | The Raiders are currently in a slump that was capitalized with their 7-0 loss against the Ottawa Junior Senators. The Raiders are currently on a 6 game losing streak, winning their last game on January 23rd.

 

  1. Kemptville 73’s (15-34-2) | LW: 11 (-) | Results: 2-1W vs. NEP | A light week for the Kemptville 73’s as they only played the Nepean Raiders this past week. The 73’s got the win in that one. The 73’s will look to try and play spoiler this week.

 

  1. Navan Grads (9-38-0) | LW: 12 (-) | Results: 4-1L vs. HAW | The losing ways continue for the Grads as they take a loss to the red hot Hawkesbury Hawks. The Grads haven’t won a game since late November.
