Cornwall 4, Nepean 2
Liam Lascelle made 55 saves as the visiting Cornwall Colts downed the Nepean Raiders 4-2 at the Nepean Sportsplex.
Chris Theodore’s league-leading 16th goal of the season stood as the winner for the Colts (10-9-2), while Kari Belec had a goal and assist in the loss for the Raiders (7-10-0).
Konnor MacCormick, David A. Poirier and Troy Quinn (EN) had the other goals for Cornwall.
Ottawa 5, Rockland 4
Pierre-Luc Veillette notched a goal and an assist for the Ottawa Jr. Senators in a 5-4 comeback win over the Rockland Nationals at Ottawa’s school-day game.
Conor Smart’s empty-net, short-handed goal at 16:18 of the third period proved to be the winner for the Jr. Sens (15-3-2), who took both points off the Nats (11-7-2) in front of a bumper crowd of 542 at the Jim Durrell Complex.
With the win, Marty Dagenais’s Ottawa team became the second in the CCHL to hit the 15-win mark this season.
Hawkesbury 4, Kemptville 2
A double dip from forward Matt Gasuik led the way as the Hawkesbury Hawks doubled up the hometown Kemptville 73’s by a 4-2 score.
Michael Marleau had a trio of assists for Rick Dorval’s Hawks (11-5-0), while newly-acquired Ryan Faith assisted both Kemptville (3-16-1) goals in the loss — his 73’s debut.
Wednesday’s win was the third in a row for the surging Hawks, while Kemptville has now lost six-straight games and sits 12 points out of a playoff spot.
